The
year was 1964; Milwaukee music Icon Larry Lynne started his new band
- "The Skunks." The band recorded "Elvira" which
was a hit in the Milwaukee area. "Elvira" was later released
by the "Oak Ridge Boys" and became a national hit. Other recordings
followed: I Recommend Her, Little Angel, Doing Nothing & You, Me
and Happiness, to name but a few. The band toured much of the United
States and enjoyed the successes of their hard work. When the magic
of the Skunks was over, Larry Lynne continued his career.
In 1969, The Larry Lynne Group was back
on the charts with two releases: "Back On The Street Again,"
and "Sudden Change." Larry continued to play in a variety
of Rock & Roll groups until 1990, when country music caught his
attention. Larry joined a group called "Sky Harbor." 1999
was the year that "Larry Lynne & Bootlegger" hit the country
music scene. In Larry's career, there exists a maximum of consistency
and quality, professionalism and attention to detail, which has allowed
him to enjoy over forty years as a respected musician.
Now, as in the past, Larry Lynne is
reinventing himself and is returning to his Rock & Roll roots with
the new "Skunks." Joining Larry on this journey are seasoned
professionals, who share the love of the music they grew up with. The
music of the 1960's British invasion and American retaliation is the
corner stone for the new "Skunks." Let them take you back
to an era, when Rock and Roll was giving birth to a new renaissance.
Relax and enjoy the journey back in time. Ladies and Gentlemen, please
welcome.........
